The Law Society of Kenya has written to the Lands Cabinet Secretary Prof. Kaimenyi expressing deep concerns over the online land transactions rolled out by the ministry.

The Ministry of Lands is in the process of digitising the land registry that will ensure that all land transactions.

''We should have raised our concerns during the consultations before the implementation of reforms. We, however, believe that our concerns are weighty and should be looked into.'' Isaac Okore wrote.

Reforms at the land registry had been hailed as revolutionary and full of economic sense as it would help counties raise their revenue.

Nairobi County had been cited as a success as there had been a surge in its revenue.

Prof. Kaimenyi is yet to respond to the LSK's request for consultations on the digitisation of the land registry.
