Concerns have been raised following the arrest and detention of some youths who took part in a demonstration in Keroka town, Nyamira county last week.
The protests were held in order to express displeasure with President Uhuru Kenyatta’s attack on Chief Justice David Maraga.
During the protests, dozens of demonstrators, including bodaboda operators and street families, were arrested and locked up in Keroka police station.
Allegations have emerged stating that the youths have been transferred to police stations in Kericho, Kilgoris and Bomet.
Nyamira investigations officer Victor Thangalani said the demonstration was illegal.
