Kibra is facing a new wave of criminal activities. Cases of crime-related deaths have been reported next to Dome Pub in Katwekera village where an adult male was found dead early this month.
In February, a local performing artist locally known as One B died while undergoing medication at Kenyatta National Hospital after being attacked by suspected criminals in Kianda village.
On the morning of March 23, it was reported that a group of criminal youths attacked people next to Co-operative Bank in Kianda village.
The gang was armed with pangas and stole from individuals.
In the process, an elderly person was also injured.
There are calls through social media and in community forums by individuals from Kibra to help curb crime.
A local artist know us Red Profate raised his concern in one of the social media page known as Kibera ni Kwetu on facebook.
