Mothers in Uasin Gishu county have been asked to take advantage of the free maternity services being offered to them in health facilities across the Republic.Health Services County Executive Eveline Rotich says all public health facilities have been adequately equipped with maternity equipment to enable them to offer quality services.Speaking after impromptu visits to various health facilities, Mrs. Rotich expressed concerns over declining number of women seeking maternal services at the rural dispensaries."Our rural facilities are equally equipped and capable of offering the services available in town and this is why we are asking mothers not to be afraid of seeking those services locally," Rotich said while at Kaptumo dispensary on Friday."We are working hard as a county to improve our facilities and we need locals to make good use of them," she added.The County Executive further reaffirmed their commitment to putting in place measures that will help reduce infant mortality rate which is in line with the national government's agenda.
