The National Environmental Complains Committee (NECC) has raised concerns over the disposal of solid wastes.
Issues arose following the ban on plastic bags that was imposed in August.
According to the committee Secretary Dr John Chumo, his team is in talks with County governments to embrace better practices of waste disposal to promote a cleaner environment.
Even with recent ban on plastic bags, solid waste disposal still remains a major challenge posing health and environmental risks across the country.
According to the NECC, reckless disposal of solid waste and sewer water is a major environmental hazard that should be addressed to avert health crisis.
