[Mohammed Ali when he recently met residents of Nyali constituency. He has called on Kenyans to vote for leaders based on their track record] (facebook)Kenyans should vote for leaders based on their track record, former investigative journalist Mohammed Ali (Moha) has said.
Moha said politics of bribery has no place in modern day Kenya and voters should reject politicians out to bribe their way into office.
“One day, the voice of the poor will be respected,” he said. “Denounce politics of bribery because it equals auctioning the lives of your children,” he went on.
He made the remarks while addressing residents of Mbuyuni and Kwa Katana in Nyali on Saturday.
Moha, who recently called on well-wishers to extend financial assistance in aid of his political campaigns said he comes from a humble background and understands problems facing Kenyans.
He is vying for the Nyali parliamentary seat on an independent ticket after losing to Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho’s brother, Said Abdallah during ODM primary elections.
“It is a revolution time. In God we trust,” he said.
Moha remains one of Jubilee’s principal critics.
In 2016, Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery called for his probe over government claims he is an Al-Shabaab sympathizer.
