Ng’ang’a said that in order to bring development into the area the residents need to stand united and embrace brotherhood.

She said that Kiambu County’s leadership wrangles will not affect the residents of Thika as long as they stand united as they have always been.

She added that she will advocate and fight for rights of the people she represents as she had always done even before she joined politics.

“I have been fighting for your rights even before you elected me and be sure I will not be shaken. I have calmed down at the moment to unite you from the chaos that have been going on around, but we will never stop asking for what is ours,” said Ng’ang’a.

The MP was speaking in her constituency on Monday when she toured her people in the semi-arid parts of Thika, Gatuanyaga and Ngoliba Wards, who have been calling onto her to help them in this time of drought as the parts have not been receiving enough rainfall thus leaving them starving.

Ng’ang’a condemned the area leaders whom she said have been harassing and oppressing her constituents behind her back instead of supporting them in time of hardship as no one wished to be born in the semi-arid areas where they experience drought almost all the months of the year.

She vowed to support them and unite all the people of Thika ahead of the 2017 general election where she said most of the leaders will head home after being voted out by the public.
