Businee people in Nakuru are anticipating a kill this weekend as Prinsloo Sevens rocks the ‘sin’ city.
The game is expected to kick off on August 5 and end on August 7.
The game usually converts Nakuru town into a partying mood as hordes of young girls skimpily dressed and young men with shouting biceps camp the town to watch the game, socialize, have fun and get spoilt a bit.
Jane Nyambura, of Honeydrops, said condoms and alcohol fly off the shelves every time Nakuru hosts rugby.
“We are expecting groups of young girls and men. Their steady diet is meat, alcohol and condoms. We want to have enough,” the trader said.
The traders sentiments were echoed by a source at Platinum club at Section 58.
“The party will go down here. We have clear instructions to make sure we have enough alcohol. We have even been told to stock several expensive drinks to spoil Nairobi guys,” the source said.
In a generation where alcohol and sexual pleasure ranks top among revellers, one can only understand.
“Hapa huwa zinaenda kwenda. (Here condoms are a hot sale),” another trader at Gusii road said.
Gusii road is full of budget lodging and most revelers book rooms where they retire to cool their burning bodies.
“Business will be good. We have dial-a-condom service,” Guest care attendant said.
Dial-a-condom is where one can ask for the rubber through a phone call while still in his/her room.
“But we end up getting the rubbers unused in the rooms,” the attendant added noting that those who retire to the rooms are often too drunk to even use protection.
