There was confusion in Kitui County following the release of fake Wiper election results in the gubernatorial race, as counting of votes continued.The camps of Senator David Musila and Governor Julius Malombe rushed to social media to release conflicting results that were favourable to them. The move happened as supporters of the two rivals were kept outside the election counting in Kitu, as Wiper poll officials waited for the outcomes of the election from more than five constituencies.The county returning officer, a Mr Mutinda, according to the Nation, urged supporters of the two politicians to go slow on the social media war and stop releasing fake results to the public.
