It is now clear that the Jubilee Party aspirants for Nairobi gubernatorial seat have not agreed on who to front against incumbent Evans Kidero in August polls.
This played out on Wednesday as Peter Kenneth presented his nomination papers at the Jubilee headquarters in Pangani.
The 2013 presidential aspirant was accompanied by Rachael Shebesh, Yusuf Hassan and Sonia Birdi.
Mathare MP Steve Kariuki, the son of Bishop Margaret Wanjiru- also said to have presented his nomination papers for the governor post, accompanied Kenneth.
There are two opposing Jubilee camps seeking the party’s ticket to vie for governorship.
One is led by Peter Kenneth and the other by Senator Mike Sonko, Dagoretti South MPDennis Waweru and Nominated MP Johnson Sakaja.
Speaking after Jubilee’s Head of Secretariat Raphael Tuju accepted his papers, Kenneth said he was ready to face off with Sonko, Sakaja and Waweru in the nominations.
The former Gatanga MP said that his main focus is to remove Governor Kidero from office.
