Over 20 Kisii University students missed graduation on Friday after the institution failed to clear them on time for the occasion.
among those affected were students with missing marks despite completing studies over six months ago and a few cases of suspended individuals.
earlier this month, President Uhuru Kenyatta fired warning to university lecturers, accusing them of delaying in submission of marks to ruin the future of students during Kibabii university graduation.
A top management official who spoke on condition of anonymity to the reporter accused some of the affected students of failing to seat for exams.
Cecil Ouma, a students who was suspended in October for allegedly spearheading student unrest, accused the institution of failing to summon him to the disciplinary committee to clear his name.
"I was suspended two months but I have never been summoned to clear my name. This is the delay tactic that was used to punish a number of us," he said.
