A story is told of how a Kenyatta university computer science graduate fell in the hands of conmen who snatched close to Sh4,000 from him.
He was indeed a lucky prey as many job-keepers have lost tens of thousands to conmen parading as agents of job recruiting company.
In this particular story, the graduate was told by a conman posing as a senior staff of Safaricom company to send his academic papers as there is a position that is being advertised in the company.
After sending his papers through email, the conman informed him that he has been accepted and therefore he should report to their office in Westlands.
He should bring along his original papers, copies of identification and certificate of good conduct. He did not have the certificate of good conduct and so the conmen asked him for Sh4,000 to process for him one within a day.
These conmen are simply taking advantage of the desperity of jobless youths.
With many jobless graduates lurking in the internet, they are having a field day. Beware!
