"We are moving to digital and the idea of having an automated system will help all the committee members in every Constituency will have access to information without them travelling all the way to Nairobi,” said Buyema.
He also added that the SMS system will be accessible to all beneficiaries in every Constituency in Kenya.
"Anyone who has applied for the Funds will be reached via text messages (SMS) and will be updated on their payments via the software,” added Buyema.
He however said that the trainers of training committee members have been trained on how to use the automated system for efficient service delivery at every Constituency levels.
"Digitising will help us disburse Funds to applicants and every group will be vetted using the same system,” said Buyema adding that the software will enable them track creditors through the credit reference bureau board.
"The system will also identify creditors of Uwezo Fund and those who have received the funding. It will ensure that all loopholes are sealed,” added CEO Buyema.
