Speaking on Sunday during a Church service in Manyatta AIC in Kangundo sub-county, Kalonzo insisted on the importance of constitution to the people of Kenya even in the fight against insecurity.

“The constitution is the most important thing in the devolution system of governance if our objective is development reaching to our people in the grassroots levels,” said Kalonzo.

The Wiper leader was speaking during a fundraising ceremony in the Church that was built in the early 1952.

Kalonzo while addressing the congregation called upon the Members of Parliament to represent the people and avoid being blinded and wooed aside and forget representing the people’s needs.

The fundraising ceremony was also attended by several top leaders from Machakos County including Kyengo Katatha MP for Kangundo, Machakos Women Representative Dr. Susan Musyoka among other leaders from the area.

The leaders reiterated each other’s words stating that Kalonzo Musyoka, their Party leader will contest for the top seat in the next general election in 2017.
