Speaking on Friday, Uhuru said he will live by the constitution whether it works in his favour or not.

He was speaking during the National prayer day, where he said he will honour the oath of office he took during the swearing in to  protect the constitution.

"We fought so hard for the new constitution let us go by it. We cannot force things to change all the time because of our own interests that are selfish," he said.

The President also said the country would not be where it is if our fore fathers were selfish.

"People are asking for God to intervene in this IEBC issue, but he has already done his part. He did his part when we got the new constitution, why are we still on this matter? God has finished the issue," said Uhuru.
