The reckless utterances of Bahati constituency member of parliament Ngunjiri and his fellow MP Moses Kuria are not only a threat to peaceful co-existence but they are also a disgrace, given the fact they are coming from honourable leaders.
The former was recorded in a video asking Jubilee youths to eject members of a certain community from Nakuru while the later was recorded in a video calling for the assassination of Cord principal Raila Odinga.
The two videos have since gone viral on social media.
The best way to deal with such kind of rogue leaders is to recall them. Leadears found guilty of mismanaging funds, those convicted of an offence or those inciting violence through hate speeches can be recalled by voters but the provisions in the elections act make it virtually impossible.
Apart from depositing Sh500,000 with the IEBC, a petitioner must get 30% support from registered voters in that constituency.
The petition to be taken to High court 12 months before next general elections.
