Nyamira County Women Representative Jerusha Momanyi said Kenyan should go into a referendum to change the constitution so that more leaders can be accommodated into the government.

According to Momanyi, the government should accept NASA Raila Odinga's plans to have the constitution amended so that electoral malpractices can end in this country.

"This is the right time we should change the constitution to end the political heat that comes after every election year.

"Raila should receive backing from all leaders irrespective of their political parties for the sake of ending election chaos in this country," she said.

She called on leaders from Nyamira County to be firm and ensure residents across the county participate in the referendum.

Mrs. Momanyi stated that it is not election period and politicians from Jubilee and NASA should forget about their parties and concentrate on preaching peace, unity and harmony among Kenyans after the historic Raila- Uhuru handshake.
