Kisii county governor James Ongwae has been urged to construct Eronge Market in Kitutu Chache North constituency.
According to traders at the market they will soon stop paying taxes if the market will not be constructed.
"The market is currently at a sad state despite promises by the Governor that he would improve it," said Dancan Makori, a trader.
He said that the money traders paid as tax was enough to see the market constructed well.
He said that since the rains started it has been hard for them to conduct business.
"We are tired of reminding the governor what he should be doing. It is time he walks his talks or he faces our wrath," said Jackline Oirere, also a trader.
Speaaking to Hivisasa on phone Monyerero ward representative Methusela Ogero said that already a contract had been awarded and the market will be upgraded.
