Photo/Hivisasa.com]The government has floated an international tender for the construction of an ultra-modern referral Hospital in Eldoret town.This effectively means the long awaited process of setting up one of the biggest hospital in the country has officially begun.According to the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital director Dr Wilson Aruasa, the tender closes April 21, 2017.Speaking to the press in Eldoret town, Dr Aruasa revealed construction works for the first phase of the project would expected to begin in June."Once construction begins we expect to completed within 36 months," noted Aruasa."The first phase will see a 2,000-bed Hospital build," he added.The government had in June 2013 allocated 200 acres in the outskirts of Eldoret town where the Hospital will be build."Completion of this facility will be a boost to the region's health sector as the current hospil will be handed back to the county government and allow the new facility to handle referral cases only," noted the MTRH boss.
