For a construction worker, it is almost unimaginable making more than Sh5,000 in a day but never say never.
Innocent Ondiek is one happy man whose Christmas has come early after he won Sh800,000 from Betpawa. This is after placing a Sh100 bet.
Ondiek works at a construction site in Westlands and has expressed his delight saying, “It is a great way to start off my December. I cannot express how much I feel, but this is extraordinary.”
The regular gambler with BetPawa, placed bets on the Both Teams To Score Market for five matches played on Thursday night. He notes that having won some bets previously, he was certain that he would win.
“I have been placing bets before, and I was almost certain that I would win. When I woke up in the morning, I couldn't believe it. My wife and I were ecstatic and this even woke up our neighbours,” he recalls.
Gamblers can spend as little as Sh1 to win up to Sh2.5 million.
Other winners were Katana Kazungu from Coast County who won Sh46,000.
Katana is a bodaboda rider.
BetPawa Kenya Country manager Dos Kariuki applauded the winners, and asked others to try their luck with the bookmaker.
The gambling company has been in operation in Kenya since February. It also operates in Uganda and Nigeria.
