Machakos town was brought to a standstill on March 30 in the morning after two youthful men took to streets to exchange blows over missing apple.

The fight that was taking place in Eastleigh area attracted motorists and passersby. 

According to eyewitnesses, trouble began when the aggrieved man noticed that an apple he had put in his pocket had gone missing, where he got annoyed suspecting one of his workmates at a construction site. 

"I have just been shocked by our colleagues engaging in a fight over Sh20 apple. Our colleague who has been thoroughly beaten, confronted one of his workmates and a friend demanding him to produce his apple or face the music but things turned upside down when he faced the music himself," said Iluve. 

One of the passersby immediately notified Machakos patrol officers who rescued him before worse happened to him. 

Police officers warned people to avoid fights and instead find better ways of solving problems. 

He was rushed to Machakos level five hospital where he was treated, discharged and taken to Machakos police station together with his friend as they await to be arraigned in court.
