Moracha spoke during an exclusive interview today said the coalition risk losing support if incumbent coalition governors are subjected to competition with Senators.

“I am really troubled with the rate at which Cord Senators are launching wars with our governors. This is not a good indication and we ought to handle it with a lot of care as a coalition,” said Moracha.

“I want to challenge our principals to handle the wrangles in our strongholds to avoid a fallout which may be negative to our presidential ambitions'" added Moracha.

"Political infightings are uncalled for especially at this time we are targeting to dislodge Jubilee,” he said.

Moracha said the ongoing wrangles may be detrimental in a manner that a number of staunch coalition supporters may ditch the coalition and sabotage the coalition’s attempt to have a majority in the senate or governor’s across the country.

“My logic is that a Cord governor and senator fighting in an election may lead to defections and subsequent limitations of our people in both the senate and gubernatorial seats. Because we want a majority of the seats in both posts so let the senators stick to their current positions,” he added.

A number of Cord senators led by Hassan Omar, Bonny Khalwale, James Orengo, Chris Obure and Anyang’ Nyong’o are said to be keen in contesting for gubernatorial seats.
