Area MP Patrick Wainaina, speaking when he launched the upgrade works, said constituents deserve access to good roads.

“The heavy rains pouring in the area have destroyed most feeder roads in the region but my team is doing everything possible to ensure the roads are maintained to ease transportation of people and products to the various markets in the region,” he said.

The lawmaker urged residents to give priority on the roads to be upgraded in a bid to improve the economy in the area.

“Poor roads in the constituency will affect traders ferrying their products to the market. I call upon locals to come out and list the roads to be given priority so that they can be upgraded for motorists to penetrate and transport products to the market for selling thus improving the economy in the region,” he added.

Wainaina said locals will benefit from the tenders to work on the roads in the constituency so that they can get the money to boost their living standards.
