The contractors led by Seboka General Construction Limited director Moindi Ombati said the decision by governor James Ongwae to release the funds was a clear indication that the county is committed to maintaining a good relationship with the contractors.

"We have worked tirelessly on various road projects in Bomariba and Bogiakumu wards. It is the time we also get our money so that we can pay workers and buy more machinery to improve on service delivery," said Moindi at his office in Suneka.

He asked other contractors to use the money to improve on machinery and employ qualified engineers to work on various roads once the contracts will be given to them.

"What we need as contractors is to buy more tractors and trucks to ensure road, bridge and spring projects once given to any of us is done quickly and quality work. Kisii residents deserve good roads to enable farmers to transport their products to the market easily," he added.
