Kisii County Contractors Association on Thursday staged a demonstration in the streets of Kisii County.
The reason for the strike was as a result of delayed payments by the county government on the contractors jobs.
Led by their chairperson, Kennedy Mariera, the contractors said that some of the contractors have formed a rebellion against the other colleagues despite the fact that they work together and offer the same services to the residents of Kisii County, especially in constructing roads in the county and its environments.
The contractors also argued that they have been given false promises about their payments by the county government which up to date have not been fulfilled. They have now assured the county government that they are making demonstrations now and again to make sure they get paid their dues by the county government.
