Kisii County Assembly Chief Whip Henry Moracha has challenged contractors in Kisii to complete work given to them by the county government before they get paid.
This, he said, would demonstrate fair use of public funds.
Morancha said is was quite embarrassing when contractors get paid before they complete their job, urging them to do their professionally.
This comes after the contractor who was contracted to construct Daraja Mbili slaughterhouse failed to do his work as per the required standards and claimed that he had completed his work.
Speaking to journalists on Thursday in Kisii town, Moracha said public funds should be used in the right way.
“I am advising contractors in Kisii County to always complete their work, action will be taken against those who fail to deliver as required,” he warned.
He also threatened that contractors who will fail to comply will be blacklisted by Kisii County government.
