The communication from the speaker who directed that Protus Moindi remains to the leader of the majority by reading a letter from the Governor led electrified the assembly as the MCAs urged the Governor to stop interfering with the assembly matters.

Led by Alfred Makori from Ibeno ward, they said that it is not wise for the assembly to discuss a matter which is already in court.

“We are not allowed to discuss the matter which is in court, the last time there was ruling in this assembly about the leader of the majority and the leader of the minority, let us wait for an official communication from the court,” said Onguti.

On the other hand, according to the speaker, the assembly is not allowed to discuss the party’s issues but he only communicated.

“We are not allowed to discuss party issues in this assembly but I only wanted to communicate to you from the Governor who is the secretary of the party of Majority in this assembly,” said speaker.

This comes after  Nominated MCA Tabitha Okongo  presented a motion of a vote of no confidence to the leader of majority and minority.
