Machakos senator, Johnson Muthama has revealed that the 2013 CORD MoU was between Wiper party leader, Kalonzo Musyoka and ODM leader, Raila Odinga.
Speaking to the press on Tuesday in Nairobi, Senator Muthama said that CORD had signed a MoU during the 2013 elections and the agreement was taken to the registrar of political parties.
"Kalonzo and Raila had signed a MoU in 2013 and people should stop spreading false messages to the public that the MoU was between the three CORD principals, Raila, Kalonzo and Wetangula. The signed MoU will be discussed and the way forward will be met as CORD plans for the coming 2017 election," said Muthama.
He noted that the ongoing rumours that CORD is collapsing are lies from their political enemies and the coalition will sit down and solve the matter before the 2017 election.
"Raila and Kalonzo will not be left alone to decide who will be the flag bearer in the 2017 presidential race. As CORD, we will all sit and decide who will be the flag bearer," stated Muthama.
