A source privy to the meeting has revealed that the leaders also talked about a probable line-up in case The National Super Alliance (NASA) is formed.

Senators James Orengo, Johnstone Muthama, and Eseli Simiyu decided that they should use the same approach they used in 2013 but add positions of two vice presidents, a prime minister with two deputies to accommodate interested members.

They also proposed that the seat of speakers for the national assembly and senate should be set aside for Mount Kenya, Western and Coastal regions.

The source also revealed that Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka agreed to drop his hard-line stance that he may quit if the coalition fails to name their flag bearer before early next year.

"Consultations are still ongoing and they agreed to find a presidential candidate next year. For now, CORD is still preoccupied with ensuring that the next elections are free, fair, credible and transparent," the source was quoted.

Cord plans to call for a referendum in 2017 if they win to create the Prime Minister's position in the constitution.
