Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior has urged the opposition to drop the case against the audit of the voter register.

According to Mutula, the voter register needs to be updated in order to eliminate cases of double registration and confusion of ID numbers that have recently emerged.

“I am asking the CORD coalition to find a method even if it is withdrawing the case that is in the court to so that we can find a method of auditing this register as soon as possible,” said Mutula.

Mutula was speaking at Nzeveni village in Kilome constituency, Makueni County during the burial of Major Nicholas Mulinge.

Last year Cord moved to court opposing the audit where IEBC had contracted KMPG.
