Thika Member of Parliament Alice Ng’ang’a has criticised Cord Members of Parliament for attempting to stop the passage of Security Bill on Thursday.
The legislator says that the Coalition for Reform and Democracy and Al Shabaab are one and the same.
Ng’ang’a who was speaking on Friday at Thika town during the graduation of bodaboda operators said that Cord members pushed Jubilee to the corner and called for desperate measures to be taken.
“We had no choice but to retaliate since they cannot beat us when we are watching them. It is an act of shame on the opposition,” she said.
The legislator said that Jubilee can still work without Cord and other goons, citing Machakos and Bungoma senators Johnston Muthama and Moses Wetangula were strangers at the National Assembly terming them as ‘The Beasts’ who incited the MPs.
The lawmaker fired warning to the opposition saying Jubilee will deal with them and they will not relent at any other cost since President Uhuru Kenyatta has already signed the bill as law of Kenya.
She said that the security bill is the key to eradicating insecurity in Kenya and now it will be a law to tame the Al Shabaab militia who have killed many lives of Kenyans.
Ng’ang’a said that the Majority leader Aden Duale had told the Jubilee to remain calm but said desperate times called for desperate measures since they could not stand aside and watch as goons poured water on Deputy Speaker Joyce Laboso.
The MP has however hailed the National Assembly speaker Justin Muturi for standing firm into passing the bill which she said was an act of courage by Jubilee men.
