Limuru MP John Kiragu has asked CORD coalition to support the government in the fight against corruption.
Addressing journalists in Limuru town on Wednesday, Kiragu took issue with Cord leader Raila Odinga accusing him of blaming President Uhuru Kenyatta on issues of corruption instead of supporting war on graft.
Kiragu said that the government has shown commitment and willingness to fight graft and need support from all quarters.
“Cord leaders should give the government space to deal with corruption instead of them blaming the president every time,” said Njomo.
The MP said that corruption cuts across the board and is not only in government noting that every Kenyan must support the fight against corruption.
Kiragu said that accusations and blame games will not help but will give perpetrators of graft freedom to continue with the vice.
The Limuru MP also asked Cord leaders to support the government address key problems like insecurity saying that some issues need urgent attention from both the government and oppositions leaders.
On the Okoa Kenya referendum push, Kiragu asked the opposition to wait until 2017 before starting to politic adding that some of the issues being raised in the bill can be addressed without calling for referendum.
The MP further supported President Uhuru Kenyatta appointment of parastatal heads and board members saying they were in line with the President’s mandate and constitution.
