The IEBC was to meet with the CORD Okoa Kenya team and discuss how far the commission had gone with the Okoa Kenya signatures verification exercise.

Earlier on, the team had presented signatures that the IEBC could verify. The IEBC then hired 150 people to verify the signatures by transferring the data from manual to digital. CORD leader, Raila Odinga said the constitution has not said the signatures should be in digital form before verification.

The discussion meeting which was supposed to be held on Tuesday did not happen since the IEBC commissioners were not around. This angered the Okoa Kenya team which had been led to IEBC by CORD leader Raila Odinga.

In its defence, the IEBC said it had earlier told CORD of the state it was in and told them that the commissioners will not be able to attend the meeting since it was the last day of voter registration, therefore, they needed time to be in the field. Odinga, on the other hand, said the team will sit down and decide the next action to take.
