CORD has been called upon by its supporters in Kibera to unite.
This comes after the coalition showed some strained relationship among its members.
‘‘When Ababu Namwamba said that those who are willing to leave the party should pack and leave it meant that there must be a misunderstanding within the members. This is very dangerous because we have very little time to start campaigning. If leaders don’t work together, then they might lose their target goal,’’ said Andrew Onyango.
Jenifer Mwendwa said the coalition might be creating a pit for itself.
‘‘I wonder why some of the coalition members could not go to support Senator Wetangula’s presidential launching campaign in Kakamega and even Raila Odinga, the party leader did not attend. This is a clear indication that the leaders are not in agreement. This will cause them to fail terribly because they are working against each other,’’ she said.
Tony Kulundu, however, said in any political party, there are those who work towards the goal while others work against those who are focused. He said that it is normal for a party to have some disagreement but also called on the CORD leaders to settle their misunderstandings before it is late.
