Cord's planned mass protests against the amendments to the election laws that had been scheduled to begin on January 4 have been called off.
The coalition's co-principals Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetang'ula, who were accompanied by Siaya Senator James Orengo said on Thursday they will monitor how the Senate will handle the changes currently being considered by Senate Legal Affairs Committee.
According to the Star, the leaders hailed the Senate for allowing public input into the controversial amendments.
On Thursday last week, Jubilee-allied MPs in the National Assembly passed the controversial changes which will allow the IEBC to revert to a manual system in case the electronic one fails during to 2017 elections.
They spoke during a news briefing at Kalonzo's Karen residence noting that they will review the outcome of Senate's resolution's on January 5 before stating their next course of action.
