The opposition's flag bearer in the coming general election will now be announced after the party's management board seeks opinion from the electorate.
This is according to Cord board co-chair senator Johnstone Muthama who says that the three Cords principals have been popularizing their individual parties across the country but the decision on who will bear Cord's flag in the 2017 polls will be made by the board.
Speaking in Machakos, Muthama said as representatives of their followers they will carry out that decision. He challenged the church to pray for the country so as to make the right decision come 2017.
Siaya senator and Cord management board co-chair James Orengo drummed up support for wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka terming him as God-fearing and an experienced leader the country should celebrate.
The two further praised the recent electoral reforms, saying they will ensure electorates get justice as there will be transparency in the votes tallying.
Other leaders present included Suna East Mp Junet Mohamed, Mombasa women representative Mishi Boko and former Makadara Mp Reuben Ndolo.
