In a statement, Cord leader Raila Odinga said they had agreed with Jubilee to first form a team of four MPs to discuss contentious issues and come up with a report within 24 hours before each side can name its team of 11 people that would include the select committee.

National Assembly Leader of Majority Aden Duale dismissed the statement by CORD leader terming it as of his imagination and they will stick to what the president announced.

After a meeting of Cord leaders at Raila’s Capitol Hill office yesterday, Raila told media the two coalitions had met and agreed to forward two members from each side to meet today and make a report within 24 hours.
