Cord co-principal Bungoma senator Moses Wetangula and the coalition's co-convener Siaya senator James Orengo said the Opposition will use all means to oppose changes to the Bill.

The Bill was proposed by the IEBC reforms parliamentary select committee and approved by both the National and Senate Assemblies.

Speaking after holding an Opposition parliamentary meeting to agree on next step over today's parliament special session, Cord said they will not agree to approve any Amendments that will negatively affect the 2017 general elections.

Cord and Jubilee coalitions in the National Assembly maintained hard-line positions, with Jubilee vowing to push through the amendments to the Elections (Amended) Act and elections regulations.

In today's special sitting, MPs are expected to debate changes to the Elections Laws, including debating degree requirement for all aspirants seeking MP posts, use of manual voting in-case the electronic voting systems fails in the upcoming polls, among other critical changes.
