Bonchari Member of Parliament Zebedeo Opore has invited Cord leaders to the Deputy president William Ruto’s thanksgiving ceremony at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru stating that their attendance would mark the beginning of reconciliation for the country.
The Mp said the termination of Ruto’s and Journalist Joshua Sang cases at the Hague was a major relief for the country.
He said that the country can now embark on a healing process which was only possible if all leaders are united.
Opore challenged Cord leaders Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetang’ula to attend the thanksgiving rally with other Jubilee leaders to start the healing process.
“The Cord leader even sent a congratulatory message to DP over his acquittal. He and the others should attend the ceremony to show a united nation that needs to reconcile,” he said.
He was speaking in Bomokora area where he was attending a burial service.
“We all respect the Cord leader and the only wise thing he would do is lead the rest of his team to the Afraha stadium for the big function,” he added.
