A section of cord MCAs have opposed the call by their party leader Raila Odinga to take part in the street protests to push for disbandment of the electoral commission.
Kiogoro MCA Samuel Apoko said that while they agree that the commission must leave, they do not support Mr Odinga’s position that they should be removed by force.
Bassi Bogetaori ward MCA Bonny Wright said;
"I share the same thoughts but I don’t agree that they should use force. Let us use the laid down procedures," said Wright.
"We cannot storm offices to force them out," he said.
Cord says the IEBC is biased and should not be allowed to oversee next year’s elections in this country.
