Cord MCAs from Kisii and Nyamira have rejected calls that they decamp from the opposition and join Jubilee Party.

The MCAs made the announcement after meeting President Uhuru Kenyatta at State House on Thursday.

They had visited Mr Kenyatta to discuss how to jack development in their respective wards.

They reported thereafter that the president had requested that they join Jubilee Party.

They were led by Kisii County Assembly Majority Leader Shem Ondari.

"We are in ODM and we don't intend to join any other party," Mr Ondari said while addressing the press at Orange House in Nairobi.

The meeting took place less that a week after the president hosted a group of MPs from Nyamira and Kisii at State House.
