The 2013 presidential aspirant and a renowned critic of Uhuru, threw her support behind the President angering a number of opposition supporters on social media.

And Bosire during a cheque issuance ceremony at Riamoni Secondary School on Friday, insisted that Karua’s move was democratic adding that she was not in the opposition, Cord.

“Karua has a right like any Kenyan to support a presidential candidate of her own. Whether it spoils her reputation or not, it’s purely her decision and should be respected by all of us,” he said.

Bosire added: “I don’t remember the last time she was in Cord since I am hearing many people say that it’s a blow to Raila Odinga. It is not and it will never be. As the opposition, we are stronger even without her presence.”

The former Gichugu MP is expected to run for the Kirinyaga gubernatorial seat on a Narc-Kenya ticket alongside embattled former Devolution Cabinet secretary Anne Waiguru.
