The outspoken Majority Leader Aden Duale will be have to play his cards well before the 2017 general elections as Cord begin to endorse experienced Farah Maalim to unseat him in the polls.
Duale has been very vocal against the opposition and this newest development is a clear cut tact by Cord to revenge and finish him politically.
Cord has been grooming Farah Maalim for the MP seat and has openly told Duale he is losing his seat come 2017.
MP Junet Mohammed has dropped a hint at the strategy, strongly opining that the decision to use Maalim was the best revenge Cord could stage against him.
“Sometimes I get disappointed with my colleague who opens his mouth carelessly just to insult former Prime Minister. He has no substance at all, and I want to promise him that either Farah Maalim sends him home or someone else,” said Junet.
Garissa is a Cord stronghold which may give Farah Maalim an advantage over Duale and with the rate at which the opposition is baying for Duale’s seat, it can only be common sense to advise Duale to beware of the threat.
