Machakos county senator Johnson Muthama has said the Cord presidential bearer will remain a top secret until the "right time."
Speaking in a TV interview on Sunday, the legislator revealed that the coalition has already agreed on who will be its presidential candidate in the 2017 general elections.
"Cord finding a presidential candidate is not a huge task as believed by many. I can authoritatively say that we as a coalition we have already settled on our presidential flag bearer," he said.
"I cannot, however, reveal to you (public) on the person we have settled on. That is the coalition's secret weapon. We want the public to keep guessing until when it's the right time to announce," he added.
ODM party leader and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Bungoma Senator, Cord co-principal Moses Wetangula have already expressed their interest publicly of being the coalition's presidential flag bearer.
