According to Cord Co-Principals, Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula, Ethuro allowed unqualified Jubilee senators to vote during the special seating.

The two leaders stated that the nominated senators Hosea Onchangwi and Naisula Lesuuda voted something which is against the law.

In a quick rejoinder, Jubilee senators stated that the two senators were representing two elected senators who were not present in the house during the sitting.

“Senator Hosea Onchangwi is from Kisii and was appointed by Senator Chris Obure to vote on his behalf. On Lesuuda voting, I undertook to verify what was happening and I saw a letter by Samburu Senator, Sammy Leshore, authorizing her to vote,” said Elgeyo Marakwet senator KIpchumba Murkomen.

The senate was convened to debate on the controversial election law that calls for a manual voter identification back up supported by Jubilee.

According to Cord, manual voting is a scheme by Jubilee to rig the polls.
