On Tuesday, the Kakamega senator said that the proposed alliance will soon be unveiled.

Khalwale said that the talks involving various parties and individual politicians are at an advanced stage.

“It is true that talks are ongoing on the possibility of us (opposition) forming a formidable national super alliance that will kick Jubilee government out in 2017,” Khalwale is quoted by the Daily Nation.

Khalwale indicated that the opposition is serious in its quest to form an alliance that will unite Kenyans and also send Jubilee government home.

The opposition is said to be fronting for the formation of an alliance that will take power from Jubilee government in 2017 elections.

The super alliance talks are being spearhead by Amani leader Musalia Mudavadi who says that Uhuru Kenyatta’s government can only be defeated if the opposition unites against it.

Cord leaders Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula have both welcomed the formation of a super alliance to unseat Jubilee government.

It is believed that the leaders have reached pout to several parties and individual politicians among them Gideon Moi of KANU, Isaac Rutto of Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM), Wavinya Ndeti of Chama Cha Uzalendo (CCU), Charity Ngilu to be part of the super alliance.

Opposition’s plans for a super alliance have been dismissed by a section of Jubilee politicians who say the alliance if formed is not a threat to re-election of President Kenyatta in 2017.
