Siaya senator James Orengo and Machakos senator Johnstone Muthama announced that Cord will temporarily suspend their Monday demonstrations to give dialogue a try.

The opposition party is rooting for the disbandment of the independent electoral and boundary commission, IEBC.

Cord supporters, especially those who are behind Raila Odinga, took to social media to vent their anger at the decision taken by the Cord.

Using the hashtag #BabaOkNyal, which if translated means,"Baba (Raila) can not make it," they blasted the Cord principal saying that he is weak.

They advised him,"Telo ikao, telo ok mi ng'ato" meaning "Power is taken, power is not given freely."

Many Cord supporters said that Raila, by halting the demonstrations, showed his weak side, again.

They said he has exposed his soft underbelly and that is his main undoing.
