CORD has affirmed that it will lead its supporters in storming IEBC offices on Monday.
The opposition on Tuesday, vowed to camp outside the commission's offices until when their pleas are given a listening ear.
Led by Siaya governor, James Orengo, Reuben Ndolo and Johnstone Muthama, the opposition intends to propel the IEBC to approve the over a million Okoa Kenya signatures that the electoral body discarded as being invalid.
Addressing the press at Capitol Hill Hotel, Orengo said the mighty march to the IEBC offices is scheduled on April, 25 and urged all Kenyans of similar views to make makeshift tents outside the premises. The march is to be spearheaded by the three CORD principals, Raila, Kalonzo and Wetang’ula.
It should be noted that the Okoa Kenya call for referendum suffered a setback after the IEBC only approved 891,598 signatures out of the totally submitted 1,633,577 tally signatures. It is now evident that the opposition is more determined than ever in ensuring the signatures get approval since they have decided to camp outside the offices as long as the IEBC becomes adamant to yield to their demands.
