Kiambaa MP Paul Koinange has sensationally claimed that Cord Coalition had a wider plan of overthrowing the Jubilee Government on Thursday, apart from the chaotic scenes that were witnessed in the National Assembly chambers.
According Koinange, the 'Occupy Parliament' called the previous day by the Opposition was supposed to create scenes like the one witnessed in Burkina Faso, where Parliament was set ablaze.
“What the Opposition wanted was not to block the passing of the Security bill (now a law). They wanted to overthrow the government by first causing commotion then burn parliament and call for demonstrations like we saw in the Arab world during the Arab uprising,” said Koinange.
He also called upon the religious organisations to conduct cleansing prayers for Parliament, saying that the things that were done there were very evil.
“These people have no love for this country and I condemn their actions. That Parliament chamber needs prayers,” he added.
