Raila said Cord will clinch Nairobi Governor, Senator and Women Representative seats.

Speaking on Tuesday after meeting Kisii community members living in Nairobi, Raila also said that more than 80 per cent of Kisiis will vote for ODM.

He slammed President Uhuru Kenyatta for allegedly dishing out cash to woo leaders from the larger Gusii region to join the newly formed Jubilee Party.

“I was in Kisii yesterday (Monday) and the ground is ODM,” he said.

The ODM leader said the opposition is more than prepared to face Jubilee in 2017 polls.

Raila defended Kisii Senator Chris Obure against criticism following his visit to State House. He said Obure had stated many times he has not ditched ODM.

Omogusii in Nairobi Forum Chairman Joseph Nyandika said those warming up to Jubilee are killing elective politics.

“Raila has fought tirelessly for this nation. That is why whoever loves this country must support Raila Odinga,” he said.

On the issue of IEBC, Raila said the elections body still has enough time to conduct fresh registration and hit its 22 million voters target.

He said ahead of the 2010 referendum, the electoral agency registered 12 million Kenyans in 60 days, while in 2012, it registered 14 million voters in 30 days.

“Why can’t we register 22 million people in two months?” Raila posed.

Cord is pushing for a fresh voter register. The Opposition claims that the current register has too many inconsistencies.
